Startup Working with Italian Hospitals Raises €2.2M to Structure Medical Reports into Care Plans
Milan-based startup ReportAId has raised €2.2 million in pre-seed funding to develop its AI platform aimed at converting unstructured medical reports into structured, actionable care plans. The round was led by Italian Founders Fund, with participation from Heartfelt, Exceptional Ventures, 2100 Ventures, Vento, Ithaca, B Heroes, Vesper Holding, and several angel investors.

ReportAId’s platform is designed to extract and standardize key information from free-text medical reports, generating care plans that integrate with hospital CRMs or are communicated directly to patients through messaging tools. The company positions this as a way to streamline clinical workflows, reduce administrative delays, and improve patient follow-up rates, particularly in systems where 70% of patients do not return to the same provider.
The system currently supports hospitals including San Raffaele and Ospedale Isola Tiberina – Gemelli Isola, where providers have reported increased operational efficiency and, in some cases, revenue improvements of up to 25%.

The core functionality involves four steps: clinicians input reports as usual, the platform uses AI to extract relevant data, integrates this information with the provider’s systems or contacts patients, and generates insights to inform next steps in care delivery. ReportAId also includes modules for patient relationship management (PRM), business intelligence integration, and drug intelligence—offering features such as detection of drug–drug interactions, appointment scheduling prompts, and report compliance analysis.
The system is designed with regulatory frameworks in mind. The company states it complies with GDPR and tracks the EU AI Act, and it has built-in anonymization tools to protect patient data using encrypted tokens and access keys.
Founded in 2024 by Giuseppe Faraci (CEO), Claudio Caletti (CTO), and Luca Foresti (Chairman), ReportAId now plans to scale its team, expand integration with existing IT systems, and extend its offering across public healthcare networks. The company emphasizes that its goal is to become an enabling layer in the healthcare infrastructure—structuring clinical data to support efficiency, continuity, and decision-making across European systems.
