Claude Science (launched June 2026, in beta) is a workbench that brings fragmented drug discovery tools and databases, including PubMed, Jupyter, and R, into one application. It includes more than 60 functions across genomics, structural biology, proteomics, and cheminformatics, covering tasks such as CRISPR screen design, single-cell RNA-seq analysis, and 3D protein structure rendering.

The Life Sciences Verification Program (September 2026) gives verified life science organizations access to Claude's Mythos, Opus, and Sonnet models with safeguards that are more permissive for biology work. It supports drug discovery, clinical development, and manufacturing use cases, with access tied to each organization's stated purpose.

Anthropic's life sciences customers and collaborators include Sanofi, Novo Nordisk, Genmab, and Bristol Myers Squibb, along with platform partners such as Benchling and 10x Genomics.
